Schoology Research Collector is a Chrome extension operated by a student researcher for an educational research project. This policy explains what information the extension collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Information We Collect

When a participant uses the extension, it may collect Schoology academic information displayed in the participant's gradebook, including course names, assignment names, grades, point values, assignment status, and relevant dates. The extension may also store a pseudonymous student token, submission timestamp, Schoology page URL, extension version, and browser user-agent information.

Information We Do Not Collect

The extension does not intentionally collect Schoology passwords, login credentials, or direct identifying information such as a student's name or email address.

How We Use Information

Collected information is used for educational research and analysis of changes in student grades over time. The information is not intentionally collected for advertising or commercial profiling.

Collected information is stored using Supabase in a database controlled by the researcher. Access to the research dataset is restricted through database security policies.
